My interview for Double Page Spread

Last October, teen punk rock band Shout! Sweet Nothings topped the charts with their debut single “Fire in the Hall.” Today they spoke to Turbulence about their success and plans for the future.

Did you ever expect to make it so big so fast?
Reece (Drums)- “Never! I was over the moon we got to record a single let alone release it and it to be as big a success as this!”
Laurie (Vocals) - “It all happened so fast! Our band was going through a rough patch around April last year and I was on the edge of breaking down and calling it a day, then we met Steve, our manager who put us on the right path and got us going and look where we are now!”

What was it like seeing your single on the shelves at the number 1 spot?
Laurie- Go on Christina, tell them what you did!
Christina (Bass) – Well!... I took my Nan to the shops to spend her pension and I saw it up there and I ran over to the shelf and bought one for myself, my mum, my dad, my brother, my nan, my granddad, my neighbour… EVERYONE! Cost me a bomb!
Laurie- And that was just the single! I actually can’t wait for the album! She’ll be skint if she buys them all again!

When is the Album (At Arms Length) due for release and what is your favourite track?
Charlie (Guitar) – Its out on the 30th February and if you want to buy it you’d better beat Christina and her Nan!
Reece- My favourite track has got to be “Crossed Wires” Laurie’s lyrics are immense!
Christina- Mines got to be “Fairgrounds and fair grounds” because it’s a beautiful song and I get to play piano… listen out!
Laurie- Yeah, same as Christina
Charlie- Mines got to be “Fire in the Hall” because it’s the song which got us to this point and I owe a lot to it.

So what’s next for Shout! sweet nothings?
Everyone: TOUR!
Charlie- We’re all so excited! We’re setting off in April tickets on sale next month.
Laurie- We’re touring all over the UK and Ireland and its going to be amazing!

Photoshoot inspiration

For my front cover i wanted to reflect the artists shown as popular in my research.
I found these two similar photoshoots for Paramore and You me at six which were the inspiration for my final cover photo.
